Im Quantenjahr 2025 widmen wir uns Heisenbergs Unschärferelation: Was in der Quantenwelt unbestimmt bleibt, fordert auch unser Denken, Sehen und Gestalten heraus. Unser Seminar erkundet Unschärfe als künstlerisches Prinzip – zwischen Klarheit und Ungewissheit, Perspektive und Wirkung, Experiment und Reflexion. Die studentischen Arbeiten aus Architektur und Kunst bewegen sich in diesem Spannungsfeld.

Der bestirnte Himmel über mir
„Zwei Dinge erfüllen das Gemüt mit immer neuer und zunehmender Bewunderung und Ehrfurcht … der bestirnte Himmel über mir und das moralische Gesetz in mir.“
Immanuel Kant bringt es auf den Punkt: Der Sternenhimmel berührt uns, lässt uns staunen und stellt Fragen nach unserer Verantwortung. Warum zieht uns die Weite des Kosmos so an? Was entsteht in uns, wenn wir nachts ins Dunkel schauen?
Auf Pellworm, einer Nordseeinsel mit kaum Lichtverschmutzung, wird das plötzlich sehr konkret. Hier zeigt sich der Himmel unverfälscht. Wir tauchen in eine Dunkelheit ein, die selten geworden ist und Raum für neue Gedanken lässt. An dieser Schnittstelle, zwischen kosmischer Weite und unmittelbarem Inselalltag, setzt unser Entwurfsprojekt „Der bestirnte Himmel über mir“ an. Es ging dabei nicht zwingend um klassische Architektur. Ausgehend von Dunkelheit und Sternenhimmel auf Pellworm haben Studierende aus Architektur, Industrial Design und intermedialem Gestalten ganz unterschiedliche Arbeiten entwickelt – mal ortsgebunden, mal spekulativ, installativ oder prozesshaft. Dunkelheit war dabei kein Hindernis, sondern ein Impulsgeber für neue Formen des Denkens, Entwerfens und Erfahrens.

ELIA Academy 2025 - Life Integrated Learning
The ELIA Academy 2025 invited participants to explore how life itself becomes a site of learning.
Under the theme Life-Integrated Learning, the Academy reflected on how teaching in the arts is shaped by the lived experiences of educators, and how learning expands beyond classrooms into the rhythms, urgencies, and contradictions of everyday life.
Hosted by Kristiania University College in Oslo, the event offered a space to ask: How does biographical knowledge shape pedagogy? What happens when the personal, political, and poetic dimensions of life inform teaching? And how can institutions become more permeable to the lifeworlds of both students and staff?
Participants from across Europe – students, teachers, artists, and researchers – gathered to share practices, provocations, and pedagogical experiments. Across campuses and city streets, in conversations and performances, the Academy became a space to sense and articulate what it means to teach with life, from life, and into life.
Fahim Mohammadi served as Chair of the ELIA Academy 2025 Steering Group, shaping the theme and curatorial direction in collaboration with the ELIA team and Kristiania faculty. He also moderated several key sessions.
